A30 Kennards House to Five Lanes, Road Safety Improvements

National Highways advise of some upcoming essential road safety improvement work on the A30 in Cornwall between Kennards House to Five Lanes starting on the 5 September 2026 – March 2027.

Works are to include:

Junction and visibility improvements

Improvements to safety barriers, signage, markings and studs

To carry out the work safely, the installation of traffic management will require full overnight closures (9pm-6am) of the A30 between Kennards House and Five Lanes, from 5 September to 10 September.

From 7 September there will be one lane open in each direction on the A30 between Five Lanes and Kennards House with a 50mph speed limit in placefor the duration of the scheme. Free recovery will be in place 24/7 during the work.
