Neighbourhood Priority Statement - Your help required

Dear Parishioner

This is a request for your help and support from the Parish Council.

We have resolved to create a Neighbourhood Priority Statement (NPS) which is a new and meaningful way for local communities to influence planning and development in their parish by helping us develop a new Cornwall Local Plan, which will shape the way forward to 2050. Cornwall will need to deliver more homes, business spaces and infrastructure over the coming years, and we know this raises important questions and concerns for many local people. We are asking you to take part in a survey, as a result of which you can help shape the future of your community and ensure local priorities are better understood and reflected in planning decisions.  

Your responses will help inform Cornwall Council’s new Local Plan, which sets out where development should happen and what it should look like. The information will also be shared with ourselves to help prepare our NPS, allowing us a stronger voice in identifying what matters most locally.
